Here at Next Step Apprenticeships, we take the time to acknowledge our apprentices’ achievements and progress. Each month we ask our skills coach to nominated an apprentice, we then randomly select a winner! 

This month we received amazing nominations. All the apprentices nominated have demonstrated hard-work and resilience.

Jacob Brand from BDM Talk 🎉

Mike O’Rourke –

I would like to nominate Jacob Brand at BDM Burgess Hill as my Apprentice of the Month. Jacob has recently and proudly achieved a full distinction within his Team Leading Level 3 Apprenticeship. A first for Next Step.

I have been working with Jacob for the past 18 months, during this time Jacob has shown resilience, high standards, excellent knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout. As a team leader Jacob has taken onboard feedback and best practice from the apprenticeship and implemented his learning into his team leading delivery. Illustrating a clear path to success.

Jacob has been a pleasure to work with, he has embraced new ways of working, assessment methods and leadership tools.
Throughout the pandemic Jacob has maintained his motivation and commitment to the apprenticeship, while managing a workforce and the challenges this has brought, always ensuring departmental targets are exceeded.

It has been a delight to observe Jacob learn and flourish during the apprenticeship, putting into practice his learning and knowledge. The final distinction grade he has achieved is a testament to his understanding of the apprenticeship, skills learnt and commitment throughout. I believe he is an ambassador for the apprenticeship scheme.
