Apprenticeship: Business Administration Level 3
Location: Worthing
Salary: £7.55 per hour
Hours: Full-time – Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5pm (36 hours per week)
A dedicated law firm committed to providing high-quality legal services to clients. As a Legal Administrator Apprentice, you will work closely alongside two full-time solicitors in their Legal Childcare Law Department.
You will support key administrative tasks including diary management, client communications, case file maintenance, document preparation, and general legal support. This role offers a genuine opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within a professional legal environment.

Responsibilities for an apprentice
Diary Management & Scheduling – Assist solicitors with diary management, arranging meetings, hearings, and appointments while ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
Client & Professional Communication – Act as the first point of contact for clients, handling calls and emails professionally. Liaise with solicitors, court staff, and other professionals to progress cases.
 Case File Management – Maintain and update case files using the firm’s case management system, ensuring all documents and correspondence are accurately filed.
Email & Document Handling – Draft and format legal correspondence, case summaries, and professional documentation to a high standard.
 Court & Meeting Preparation – Support solicitors by preparing case files for hearings and meetings, ensuring all necessary documents are complete and organised.
 Legal Research & Data Entry – Conduct basic research, compile reports, and enter client data accurately, ensuring GDPR compliance.
Administrative Support – Perform general admin duties such as photocopying, scanning, and managing office supplies.
 Learning & Development – Take part in training to develop knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and office administration.
Apprenticeship Information
You will be enrolled on the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, typically completed over 18 months. This includes:
- Regular workplace-based learning supported by your training provider and line manager
- A minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training
- Development of skills, knowledge, and behaviours aligned to the apprenticeship standard
- Completion of a portfolio and end-point assessment
- Functional Skills support in English or Maths if not previously achieved at Level 2
Prospects
Once you have completed your apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to potentially go into a permanent based role.
