Job Title: Nursery Practitioner Apprentice

Apprenticeship: Early Years Practitioner, Level 2 or Level 3 (TBC)

Location: Brighton & Hove

Salary: £8.00 – £12.71 per hour (depending on age)

Hours: To be confirmed

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Practitioner Apprentice to join one of our clients, a welcoming and nurturing nursery in Brighton & Hove.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children to gain hands-on experience, develop their childcare skills and work towards a recognised Early Years qualification.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Friendly, patient and caring personality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Able to use initiative and follow instructions
• English and Maths GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above
• Previous experience with children would be advantageous but is not essential

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play
• Assist with activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment
• Support qualified practitioners with group activities and observations
• Assist children with mealtimes, hygiene and daily routines
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Maintain accurate records and respect confidentiality
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures
• Participate in training and team meetings

Apprenticeship Information

You will work towards a recognised Early Years qualification, combining practical nursery experience with structured training and development.

You will receive guidance from experienced practitioners while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Nursery Practitioner.
