Apprenticeship: Business Administration Level 3
Location: Worthing
Salary: £23,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading supplier of Telephony, IT & Tech solutions across the UK and Europe. Working directly with the Operations Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing essential support across business functions, including the billing department.
You will support the Finance team with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in finance and administration, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.

Desired Skills & Qualities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Minimum:
- GCSEs (grade A–C/4–9) in English and Maths, or equivalent
- An interest in numbers and finance
Desirable:
- 6+ months of work experience in an office or customer service environment
- Experience with finance software (Xero)
Responsibilities for an apprentice
Billing & Invoicing
- Assist with the monthly billing run, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued on time
- Raise invoices in line with company processes and customer agreements
- Support with billing adjustments, credits, and reconciliations as required
Customer Billing Queries
- Handle customer billing queries via email and phone in a professional and timely manner
- Investigate discrepancies and liaise with internal teams to resolve issues
- Ensure all queries are logged and followed through to resolution
Credit Control
- Support the credit control function, including:
- Monitoring outstanding invoices
- Chasing overdue payments
- Updating payment records
- Escalate aged debt or unresolved issues to the Finance Manager
Finance Administration
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with data entry and reporting
- Support the wider Finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
Apprenticeship Information
You will be enrolled on the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, typically completed over 18 months. This includes:
- Regular workplace-based learning supported by your training provider and line manager
- A minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training
- Development of skills, knowledge, and behaviours aligned to the apprenticeship standard
- Completion of a portfolio and end-point assessment
- Functional Skills support in English or Maths if not previously achieved at Level 2
Prospects
Once you have completed your apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to potentially go into a permanent based role.
