A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Receptionist Apprentice to join a reliable, friendly and professional law firm in Chichester. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to develop your skills and gain valuable experience working within the legal industry, with full training provided and the opportunity to gain a qualification whilst working alongside professionals in a supportive environment. 

You will need to drive and have access to a vehicle to be able to get to the location.

Desired Requirements

  • Minimum GCSEs (grade A-C) in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Possess strong IT & typing skills, a proactive attitude, ready to be a part of fast-paced environment.
  • Be a team player who is flexible, self-sufficient
  • Work independently while receiving support and supervision as needed

Responsibilities for an apprentice

  • Answering each phone call, transferring them to the appropriate fee-earner/secretary.  Recording name of caller / who they wish to speak to in Record Book
  • Checking out of hours voicemail messages
  • Collecting, opening and distributing the post
  • Checking and answering emails on Outlook
  • Greeting clients coming into reception and informing fee-earner/secretary of their arrival
  • Offering each client a tea/coffee, tidying up afterwards
  • Filling up the Tassimo coffee machine and emptying, cleaning, cups etc for waiting room
  • Secretarial support, taking any overflow audio typing (such as Attendance Notes)
  • Handling Will packets from store – retrieval and return
  • Helping generally where required – including file storage (archiving)
  • Photocopying as and when necessary

Prospects  

  • Once you have completed your apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to potentially go into a permanent based role.
