Responsibilities

  • To provide individual support and learning opportunities to a key group of children
  • Supporting children’s play and learning
  • Supporting children’s development
  • Developing weekly plans
  • Making observations
  • Recording individual learning; identifying next steps
  • Settling in new children; liaising with parents

Desired skills

  • A clear DBS check or willing to complete one (at our cost.)
  • Experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Practical knowledge and some understanding of planning, observing and documenting children’s learning;
  • Basic ICT skills, as we use online learning journals for the children to minimise paperwork.
  • Experience of working in a team.

Personal qualities

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good communication skills.

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths – minimum grade 4 / C (or equivalent)
